Writing – Commenting

I learnt how to comment on other peoples blog.

First I learnt the first thing to put on a comment. For example: the first thing to put on a comment is a greeting, what I learnt, and what I enjoyed.

Next I wrote my comment. I thought about how to write a reply to the person. For example: if I had more questions I could add it, writing what I also enjoyed about the blog post.

I enjoyed commenting because I learnt how to write a comment. I need to improve on writing my greeting for my reply. I did well on thinking about my comment.

Writing – TEE

The TEE structure stands for topic sentence, explain, and elaborate.

The topic sentence tells the reader what has happened in the text. The topic sentence is a simple sentence. For example: The leaf fell off the tree, while the tree was dying.

The explaination tells the reader what is happening in the text while the main topic is more detailed. For example: A very dry leaf flew side to side, after the leaf fell off the tree. The dry leaf landed safe on the sand.

The elaborate is adding even more information and making it more detailed. For example: There were 4 leafs and 1 fell off. The tree was so dry that it looks old. The sun shines as bright as the world’s brightest flashlight.

Commenting

I learnt how to comment on people’s blogs.

First I learnt the main things to write on a blog post. For example: if I’m commenting on someone’s blog, I have to greet them, what I enjoyed about their blog post, what I learnt from their blog post, ask a question on their blog, and tell them your feedback for their blog.

Next I wrote my feedback. If they reply. I have to reply back to their comment. For example: I have to greet again, saying thank you for the reply, if you got another question, add the question, and add feedback for their reply.

I enjoyed this task because I enjoyed commenting to other people. I did well on greeting the person. I need to improve on asking better questions, and feedback for their work.

Writing – Formal and Informal

Formal and informal is a type of way on how to talk. Informal is talking to family members, friends, and people that are close. For example: formal is talking to high level people like: bosses, reports, articles, letters, and other things.

Formal language is talking in a professional way. Formal language can be used for job applications. For example: formal language sounds serious. Serious sounds like it has a inpersonal tone to it.

Informal language is talking chatty. Chatty is like talking to friends. For example: talking to friends, family, and other people. Informal is sending emails to friends, texting to family members, and sending texts to friends.

The two differences of formal lauguage and informal lauguage is that, the way the person is talking. For example: informal way is talking in a chatty voice and formal way is talking in a serious voice.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to comment on other peoples flim. I did well on writing what they need to improve on. I need to improve on writing the question.

Writing – MisUsed Word

I learnt 3 words that sound the same, but have a different meaning to it.

First I learnt homophone, homonym, and homographs. Homophone is each of two or more words having the same pronunciation but different spelling to it. Homonym is each of two or more words having the same spelling and pronunciation but different meanings. Homographs are each of 2 or more words spelled the same but not pronounced the same and having different meanings.

Next I chose a misused word. I chose hair, hair, and hair. I wrote a sentence for each of them. For example: here come here, hare, that is a cute hare, hair, that person has long hair, hear, I can hear you.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt what homophone, homonym and homographs are. I need to improve on writing better sentences. I did well on choosing the words.
