Chippy – Kick Start

For this task we were challenged to find out the history behind Fish n Chips and find facts about Fish n Chips. This was one of the most hardest tasks in the Summer Learning Journey. This task helped me learn about the history behind Fish n Chips and the history behind England. One thing about this task that was my favourite was that I found many different facts about Fish n Chips.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt many things about the history behind England and Fish n Chips. One thing that was challenging about this task was that I had to find out information about this task and most of the information was fake.

SLJ Challenge 3 – Japanese Puffer Fish – Kick Start

For this Summer Learning Journey activity I created a “Japanese Puffer Fish”. I learnt many things about the Japanese Puffer Fish. One fun fact of the Japanese Puffer Fish is that chefs that are trained for 3 years or longer have to cook the fish so the poisoness doesn’t spread to your body while getting eaten. This fish is a one of a kind fish because its very known for having like numbness in your mouth or the poison inside of it. One thing about this task I enjoyed was the making of the fish because I really enjoy like tracing and drawing things.

I enjoyed this task in my opinion because I reallyed enjoy learning about new animals that I’ve never heard. One thing that was challenging was finding the information about this fish because it is not that known around the world, but overall I really enjoyed doing task.

SLJ Challenge 2 – Word Puzzle / Search – Kick Start

For this task we found out words in a word search. Some of the words that were placed were: upside down, diagonal, and left to right.  this puzzle contains 21 words being long and small to complete this words puzzle challenges, this was a challenges being also in other word going across or diagonal this makes this puzzle harder to solve this was a master piece.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt about word searchs and word puzzles. One thing that was challenging about this task was the words that were upside down.

SLJ Challenge 1 – Wanted Poster of Stonefish

For this task we learnt about a fish from the islands called the Stonefish. This fish is one of the most dangerous fishes in the world due to the spikes that have vemon. The vemon can kill you because if you step on the toxican spike, the vemon would go through your skin and inside your body and kill you. My poster had things like: the safety tips, beware of the fish, and do not approach it.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt about the new fish and why it’s so dangerous to approach it. One challenging thing about this task is finding the information because all I read about was the spikes which had vemon.

 

Board Game Rulers and Arrows – Maths

For this task we made a board game about Maths. Our name of our game is rulers and arrows, which is a replica of snakes and ladders. This game is a 2 – 6 player game. The age limit is 10+ because kids from 9 and under shouldn’t be able to play with electronics. One thing that I enjoyed about this game is that I like how the board is set up and how I learnt many things of developing a game. Developing a game is hard  because you would have to plan what it looks like, the shape, the colours, the rewards, and everything else. Our game is only online because making it in real life is challenging because you would have to measure everything and plan on how your going to make it. I really enjoyed making and playing the game because it helped me learn about many things and how hard it is just to develope a game online. One thing I found challenging is how to plan the game because we never knew what our game was going to look like and how we would plan everything.

Underwater Vechile

For this task we  made AI generated images.

first we had to make our prompts, my promts was. My underwater vechile had a big engine, had a yellow interior, and also had a big . To make your car look like what you wanted it to look you have to be very specific about what your trying to make. After I made my prompts and images I have to make a DLO about the car and how I made it.

I enjoyed this task because it was fun to make our own car.

Tokelauan Language Week

In this activity we found out some facts about Tokelau for Tokelauan Language Week. The most interesting fact I found out is that Tokelau is the smaller than the NYC Central Park. Tokelau is 200km and NYC Central Park is 700km. What I also found interesting is that Tokelau is over 1000+.

I enjoyed this activity as I had a connection to Tokelau and learnt many things about Tokelau. I need to improve on explainging it more simpler for the little kids, so they could learn about Tokelau and its culture.

Paris Provaction

For this task we worked on learning about provaction on a topic about if Paris should or shouldn’t have spent their money on the Olympics. Paris was estimated to used 10 billion euros on the Olympics. This chose had many pros and cons or known as good and bad things. One of the good things were that: they gained 10.7 billion euros in the Olympics and had the 700 million euros of profit. One of the bad things about the Olympics is that they wouln’t have spent the money on donating to charity and building buildings like: a hospital, schools, etc, etc.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt many things about provacting and using reasons to back up your opinion. Using reasons to back up the information is very important because if you didn’t, they wouldn’t be able to explain why that’s their opioion on that topic.

Water Safety Brochure

For this task we made a water safety brochure which explains about many varieties of questions about being water saftey and how to become safe in the water. This brochure explains about what water safety is, how might people get hurt in the water, what gets trouble in the water, what helps little kids learn how to keep them safe when swimming, and etc. Reading brochures can help with things, learn about the place you are at, and etc. I think this activity was very interesting because it can help out people learn how to keep water safety.

I enjoyed this task because it can help out other people learn about water saftey and more.

LS2 Quiz

LI: to recall on the knowledge about Ancient Olympics

For this task LS2 made a quiz/kahoot on the Ancient Olympics, that helps about our recall of the Ancient Olympics. We made a varitey of questions about the Ancient Olympics. For example: when did the Ancient Olympics start, which would be 776 BC. This task was my favourite task because I recalled on all my activities. I need to improve on my spelling because I spelt Ancient as in ‘Acient’, but thats all I need working on. One of the things that I improve on is writing my answers because some of my answers tricked people into picking another opioion.

I enjoyed this task because I liked playing other people’s Kahoot and enjoyed making my own. I think we should do this again, but on another topic, so we can learn and also recall on our work
