Maths – Statistics

I learnt about statistics.

First we got all our information about what month are you born in, can you ride a bike, how many people live in your house, and what’s your favourite colour. 20 people can ride a bike and 0 people can’t ride a bike.

Next we got more information about what month you were born in. January has 1 person, February has 2 people, March has 1 person, April has 4 people, May has 1 person, June has 2 people, July has 1 person, August has 2 people, September has 0 people, October has 1 person, November has 2 people, and December has 2 people.

I enjoyed this task because it talks about statistics. I need to improve on getting information for statistics. I did well on writing down the information for the statistics.

Basic Facts Boxes

I learnt how to solve subtraction problems.

First I practised on my subtraction and raced my friend to see was who the fastest.

Next I ordered the subtraction problems and played a game and see if I can complete the problems fast.

I enjoyed this task because it was easy to learn my basic facts. I need to improve on solving the problems. I did well on typing fast.

Maths – Ratios and Rates

I learnt ratios and rates.

First we watched a video about rates and ratios. I learnt that ratios and rates are the same as fractions. For example: each 1kg = up to 30 minutes, so if I get 5kgs, I have to multiply 30 by 5, so the answer will be 150 minutes.

Next we learnt what they are. A ratio is a comparison of two numbers quantities with different units and a rate is a comparison of two numbers as a fraction. For example: if I have 10g that = up to 5 strawberries, so if I want 70g, I will need 35 strawberries, so the ratio and rate is, 70 : 35.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt ratios and rates. I need to improve on my ratios. I did well on working on my rates.

Basic Facts Boxes

I learnt how to solve times table problems.

First I practised on my times table and raced my friend to see was who the fastest.

Next I ordered the times table problems and played a game and see if I can complete the problems fast.

I enjoyed this task because it was easy to learn my basic facts. I need to improve on solving the problems. I did well on typing fast.

Maths – Converting Fraction, Decimal and Percentage

I learnt how to convert fractions, decimals and percentages.

First we learnt how to convert fractions and decimals. For example: 1/2 to decimals. Converting 1/2 to decimals, the number will be 0.5.

Next we learnt how to convert fraction, decimal and percentage. 1/2 to decimals and percentages. Converting 1/2 to decimals, the number will be 0.5. Converting 0.5 to percentages, so the number will be 50%.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to convert. I need to improve on converting decimals. I did well on convert percentage.

Maths – Fractions

I learnt how to add up fractions.

First I watched a video on how to add fractions. For example: 1/4 + 2/5 = ?, so first I add up 4×5= 20, so next I add up 1 and 5, 1×5=5 and 2×4=8, so if I add up 8+5=13. The fraction is 13/20.

Next we solved lots of questions like. 9/7 + 10/11. For example: the denominator is 90 and the numerator is 89, so the fraction is 89/90. Fractions are shared equally. There are 2 parts in a fraction. Denominator and numerator. For example: the denominator is 2 and the numerator is 5, so the fraction is ⅖.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to add up fractions. I need to improve on making an example better. I did well on explaining what a fraction is.

Pencil Coding

I learnt pencil code.

First we learnt coordinates. For example: we used clockwise and anti clockwise. Clockwise and anti clockwise is the same as left and right. We played a game using clockwise and anti clockwise. We had a buddy and they had to lead us because the goal was to get to the other side without hitting the bombs.

Next we did a task about pencil code. Pencil code is a type of coding using fd, rt, lt, and bk. That is forward, back, right turn, and left turn. We had types of degrees, like 90, 60, 144, 135, and 30 degrees.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt new things about degrees. I need to improve on checking on my degrees. I did well on checking my forward, back, right turn, and left turn.

Basic Facts Boxes

I learnt basic facts boxes.

First I practised my basic facts with a friend.

Next I ordered the additional problems and played a game and see if I can complete the problems fast.

I enjoyed this task because it was easy to learn my basic facts. I need to improve on solving the problems. I did well on typing fast.

Maths – Maths Week

I learnt maths week.

First I did the daily dollar. Daily dollar is about answering the questions and earning maths week money. For example: How many hours are in five days. 120 hours. The answer is 120 hours. I earned $20.

Next I did the millionaire. Maths millionaire is a type of question game. The most money was $2,048. For example: I got $2,048.

I enjoyed this task because I liked maths week and earned $2,148. I did well on answering questions. I need to improve on getting more money.
